 Out of School Club Assistant

Grade C £13.26 - £13.69 per hour depending on experience

12.5 hours per week x 38 weeks per annum

Mealtime Assistant

Grade A - £12.65 per hour: 7.5 hours per week x 39 weeks per annum

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, patient and caring support staff to join our team at Chulmleigh Primary School.

We are pleased to offer two roles which can be applied for as stand-alone roles or as a combined role.

Mealtime Assistant: The main responsibilities of the role are, to assist with the well-being of pupils in the Early Years during lunchtime, including supervising the children in the dining area and encouraging them to use good table manners and promote positive behaviour. The successful candidate will also undertake playground duty, which involves supporting children during play and leading and encouraging all children to engage and participate in activities.

The post is offered for 7.5 hours per week. The work pattern is for 1.5 hours per day over 5 days per week from 11.45am to 1.15pm. 

Out of School Club Assistant The successful candidate will work with senior staff and the Out of School Club Supervisor to ensure a creative and supportive learning environment for our pupils. The After School Club provides an opportunity to engage children in a range of activities in a relaxed and safe setting.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication skills to allow confident interaction with children and parents.
  • Be creative with a good understanding of recreational and physical activities to engage children and promote learning.
  • Be able to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to encourage fair and caring behaviour among the children 

The post is offered for 12.5 hours per week. The working pattern is Monday to Friday from 3.30pm to 6.00pm.
